2011 Christmas light presentation

After only three days and a few beers, we finally turned on all the display tonight.

Here are a few pictures.

The annual friends and family picnic was a great success.  The Florida November weather was perfect.
Grand kids running around and playing is a joy to our hart.

One year to go

On November 16th 2012, I (Dennis) will stop getting up every morning and going to work.
Frankly, I'm a little frightened.  Helen assures me I won't go crazy but I'm not so sure.

I've worked for 45 years with few days off.  It's going to be interesting.
The RV is pretty much ready to go.  I wouldn't hesitate to start out on a trip anywhere the roads go.
Now about that price of gas.  At $3.50 per gallon, it costs 50 cents per mile to drive the thing.  It gets about 7 mpg on the road.

So, a trip to Seattle, round trip is about 6,000 miles.  That's about $3,000 in gasoline alone.
